Kavogreen

Avacados:

Kavogreen will offer organic hass avocado as the main variety, and some golden hass, Fuertes and maluma avocado varieties on a smaller scale. The fruit portfolio is envisaged to grow to Wambugu apple, paw paws, dragon and persimmon fruits.

Cover Crops: 

The avocado fields will be intercropped with ginger, garlic, cowpeas, chilli, ground nuts and other beneficial herbs and vegetables. The field border lines will be planted with pigeon peas and moringa trees not only as wind breakers but to be utilized for mulching and nutrition in the case of pigeon peas, and herbal nutrition for moringa, as well as carbon sequestration. Cover crops and wind breakers would also be important for human, animal and chicken nutrition as well as diversification of income streams.

Retail Shop:

Kavogreen retail shop when operational would provide the surrounding community with different products produced at the farm. Initial sales will begin at the farm before relocating to the nearby roadside market. However, during farm visitations, a temporary retail store will be erected to enable visitors buy fresh farm products and ornamental products. Avocados, avocado oil, organic manure, fish and livestock feed, are just some of the products that will be stocked in the farm retail store.

Livestock and Poultry:

These will be made available for visitors at the farm during farm visits, as well as at the roadside retail shop and the urban market.

Kavogreen Outlets:

After establishing a firm product portfolio, Kavogreen Agro Investments intend to sale its products in it own outlets established in urban markets, which will include restaurants.

Agro Tourism:

Kavogreen Farm will offer a unique seasonal Agri-tourism experience such as walks through its avocado orchards and SN 20 fodder grass and accord visitors to view livestock and poultry activities at the farm. During the visits, visitors will have a chance to sample the farm quinines from the Kavogreen kitchen. Guests will particularly enjoy the various Kavogreen beef, goat and chicken kebabs and signature Kavogreen avocado salad. Guests who wish to spend a night will have a chance to book one of our four self-contained room at our Kavogreen Guest Wing.
